Dancing Never Felt So Good

I have always been in love with art. All types of art. Experiencing others creativity is extremely inspiring. I've been with VYBE Dance crew 3 years now and have met some talented and extremely creative souls. ✨

This post is about the one that noticed. I have never publicly spoke about it and shy away from sharing. And with her I didn't have to. She noticed. She recognized what would happen time and time again. Sadly. Always in the shadows. A spot filler in the back. At times being cut out all together. Yet...she noticed. I didn't have to speak up. I didn't have to ask. She just lovingly moved me to the spotlight. She saw my light and wanted others to see it as well. ✨

There will always be souls that don't see value in your light. Your light and resources aren't for them. Our purpose is to stay focused and love on those that love you. Embrace the souls that embrace you. Show up for those that show up for you. Simple. ✨

I returned from our dance team break and have a renewed perspective. New and important boundaries. A healthier outlook on those around me. Appreciating the ones that see me. Value me. And respect me. Recognizing the ones that don't. This grid is riddled with clout chasers and others putting their choices of what's beautiful or great on pedestals based on their followers, what family they are part of, what soro or frat their in, and any other shallow reason to "make others relevant". We forget that even the top influencer started with zero followers and at the beginning. ✨
